Damian Priest suffered an injury scare at Survivor Series. Gunther defeated Priest but was frustrated at a top star.

Damian Priest has been feuding with Finn Balor ever since the latter betrayed him at SummerSlam. The two men faced each other at Bad Blood 2024, where Priest defeated his former stablemate.

Following this win, Priest indicated that he was moving on and he wanted to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship. He became the number one contender on the November 3 episode of the RAW. With this win, he was set to challenge Gunther at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Both men gave it their all in the match. During the bout, Priest seemingly hurt his shoulder, which became the object of the Ring General’s offense. When Priest crashed to the outside of the ring, he looked hurt and even asked the referee for a minute to recover. When the referee went to check on the Ring General, Finn Balor showed up and hit the coup de grace off the steel steps on Priest. This allowed the Ring General to pick up the win.

However, following the win, Gunther looked frustrated with Balor for interfering in the match, as he wanted to defeat Damian Priest one-on-one.

It will be interesting if Gunther will also now begin feuding with Finn Balor after the latter’s interference.

AEW star Buddy Matthews shared an interesting post after his wife Rhea Ripley seemingly paid him a tribute. Ripley had a new and different look during her match at WWE Survivor Series.

At the WWE Survivor Series Premium Live Event, Rhea Ripley competed in the Women’s WarGames match alongside her team, consisting of Bianca Belair, IYO SKY, Bayley, and Naomi. They faced Nia Jax, Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton, Candice LeRae, and Raquel Rodriguez.

Rhea Ripley made her entrance wearing a mask and attire that looked similar to what her husband Buddy Matthews wears as a member of the House of Black in AEW. Furthermore, Ripley had black paint around her eyes similar to Matthews. The subtle tribute by Mami was noticed by fans on the internet, and they pointed it out.

Buddy Matthews noticed fans comparing Ripley’s look at Survivor Series to his AEW appearance. On his Instagram Story, he recently shared a fan’s post that contained the following message:

Solo Sikoa and his group are heading into war against The OG Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series. Moments before the match, Sikoa made an important decision.

Solo Sikoa formed his version of The Bloodline during Roman Reigns’ leave of absence from the company. This didn’t make The Original Tribal Chief happy, and when he returned, he began feuding with The Street Champion of the Island. This was also the beginning of the rivalry between the two factions.

Both groups have been at loggerheads for weeks and will now compete in a WarGames match at Survivor Series. While the new Bloodline looked united before the bout, the same couldn’t be said about The OG Bloodline due to the history of all the men involved, not to mention the x-factor of CM Punk.

Tonight, before the match could begin, Solo Sikoa made his entrance along with his Bloodline instead of each member entering on their own. Michael Cole explained that this was by design, as Sikoa wanted to present a united front as opposed to Roman Reigns’ teammates, who might have unresolved issues among themselves.

It will be interesting to see which Bloodline will come out on top at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Rhea Ripley once again proved her dominance as she pinned Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. Mami reflected on the same during a post-match interview with Byron Saxton.

Rhea Ripley joined forces with Bianca Belair, IYO SKY, Naomi, and Bayley to take on Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, Liv Morgan, Candice LeRae, and Raquel Rodriguez in a five-vs-five match inside the WarGames structure. The former Judgment Day member picked up the win for her team after putting the Women’s World Champion through a table.

Speaking about the win in a post-match interview, Ripley noted that she had pinned Liv Morgan before and just did it again. Mami also praised her teammates before taking a shot at the champion and her fanbase.

“I mean it felt absolutely amazing. I have been there before and I have done it again. I have proved myself time and time again. I honestly couldn’t have asked for better team to help me along the way. However, recently, The Ring General and his dominance both came under massive doubt when he failed to beat Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel 2024. Hence, if WWE had to book Damian Priest to beat Gunther, it would be two consecutive losses at major PLEs for the World Heavyweight Champion, and this would have ruined his dominance.

#1. Massive Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship

When Finn Balor originally cost Damian Priest the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE SummerSlam, Gunther did not take any action. However, this time, when Balor interfered and attempted to cost Damian, Gunther, for some reason, landed a big blow on The Judgment Day member.

This blow landed by Gunther could indicate a potential Triple Threat match between them at a PLE in the future. After being hit like that, it’s unlikely Balor will leave Gunther. Therefore, this potential Triple Threat match is where Damian could be booked to become World Heavyweight Champion again.

Tiffany Stratton has been steadily climbing the ladder in WWE’s main roster, owing to her in-ring talent and charisma. However, her run seemingly hit a bump this year at Survivor Series: WarGames.

The WarGames Match in the women’s division opened the premium live event, with Nia Jax and Bayley being the ones to start the bout. It wasn’t long before other stars filtered in, and eventually, Tiffany Stratton joined the fray. Despite her best efforts though, the Buff Barbie and her team were unable to win the massive fight, and the match ended with Liv Morgan being pinned by Rhea Ripley.

#3 Tiffany Stratton could cash in her WWE Money in the Bank contract against Nia Jax

Despite how in sync Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton have been, there have been several moments where it seemed like the latter was about to turn on her ally. The Irrisistible Force has been mentoring Ms. Money in the Bank for some time now, and it is clear that she is one of the strictest teachers in the business. This has led to many fans expecting a betrayal from the Buff Barbie, something which veterans like Dutch Mantell have also predicted.

With the loss at Survivor Series, Nia Jax is certainly in a vulnerable state at this point. This could be just the opportunity that Stratton needed to cash in on the WWE Women’s Champion and win her first title on the main roster.

The upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event could be the perfect opportunity, where Nia Jax’s reign will reach 133 days.

#2 Tiffany Stratton could feud with Charlotte Flair after her WWE return

One of the most missed stars on the roster is Charlotte Flair, who has been away for around a year at this point. The Queen’s legacy is unquestionable, with her being a 14-time World Champion. Considering her star power, any wrestler that she has a feud with would certainly benefit from the rub.

Stratton’s growth has also been significant, and she could be the person to feud with Charlotte on her return. If booked well, this could lead to her breaking her ceiling and ascending to the top rungs of the roster. The Buff Barbie is also a big admirer of Flair, which could make for an interesting angle between the youngster and the legend.

However, it will depend on when the veteran gets back in action.

#1 Tiffany Stratton could win the Women’s Tag Team Championship if they’re vacated

With Jade Cargill being injured, it is yet to be announced when she will be able to return to action. Since Bianca Belair is the only active WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion right now, it is also entirely possible that they will be forced to vacate the titles owing to not being able to defend them.

This could hypothetically prove to be an opportunity for Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax. The two stars should have a lot of space in their plans now, after suffering a loss at Survivor Series: WarGames. Considering that Stratton is gradually growing in popularity, some tag team gold alongside Jax could work well to keep her relevant.

Being one of the stars with the most potential in the women’s division, Tiffany Stratton certainly has a lot of paths available to her. It remains to be seen how WWE plans to book her down the line, to capitalize on her momentum and popularity.

One of the marquee matches of Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 was from SmackDown, with LA Knight defending his United States Championship against the multi-time champion Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura made a shocking return to WWE on the blue brand recently and has gotten the better of the Megastar on the few occasions they met. This culminated with the black mist on Knight’s face.

After Shinsuke Nakamura defeated LA Knight with relative ease at Survivor Series: WarGames, it marked his first pinfall win since September 2020 when he faced Gran Metalik in a rematch. That’s 1526 days of no pinfall victories, longer than Roman Reigns’ run as the Universal Champion.

Many fans seem to be happy about the Japanese star’s title win and his third reign as United States Champion, but the fact that he hasn’t pinned anyone in that long is a crazy statistic.

The last time he pinned someone was when there were no fans around and it was in the midst of the pandemic. In September 2020, he lost to Metalik but got his win back over his opponent on RAW.
