  • Popular AEW star seen on crutches after injury during Collision – Reports

A popular AEW star appears to have sustained a major injury tonight on Collision. This report comes just mere months after they worked their way back to return to the ring.

Juice Robinson made his return to the promotion at Double or Nothing in May after a six-month hiatus. He dealt with a back injury that kept him out of action from November 2023. He has been on a great run since his return, but it seems that he has sustained another major injury during tonight’s edition of Collision. Earlier, he took on Will Ospreay as part of the Gold League of the AEW Continental Classic. Despite another great showing, he ended up falling to the Aerial Assassin.

Fightful Select has just reported that he seemingly picked up an injury during tonight’s show which was taped last Wednesday after AEW Dynamite. He was spotted in crutches at the WrestleCade convention this weekend.

The report did not disclose the nature of the injury, and when in the match he might have picked it up. It was mentioned that they were looking to find out more details on the situation.

Juice Robinson still has several matches that he is set to compete in, being one of the entrants to the Continental Classic. It remains to be seen whether he’ll be cleared for competition.

  • Major update on Ricky Starks’ backstage visit during Full Gear amid AEW hiatus [Reports]

The latest report provided a backstage report regarding Ricky Starks’ recent backstage visit at Full Gear amid his hiatus. The Absolute has been absent from TV for the past several months.

Ricky Starks last competed back in March 2024. Since then, he has not made any TV appearances for over eight months. Nevertheless, it was recently reported that Starks was spotted backstage at the recent Full Gear pay-per-view to greet his fellow wrestlers amid hiatus.

After reports of Ricky being backstage at Full Gear, fans have wondered whether there were any issues regarding his visit between him and the management. During the recent Q&A on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Starks’ recent backstage visit.

Sapp noted that The Absolute got along with the people during his backstage visit to Full Gear and even snapped some pictures with them. Furthermore, it was also reported that Ricky was welcomed there, and there were no issues. Sean Ross Sapp concluded by stating he is currently working to find out more.

Ricky Starks on his potential WWE move after AEW contract expiry

Amid his long absence from AEW TV, Ricky Starks has also been rumored to be heading to the WWE as soon as his contract is up.

In an interview on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Starks was asked about a potential move to the Stamford-based promotion, and he stated the following:

“I could end up anywhere actually. It’s not crazy. I understand it, and definitely get it. Like, you know, you just go where your friends are. Yes, I love my friends. I would like to always see them every day in my life, whether they come to me or whatever the case may be.”

AEW recently pulled Starks from all his upcoming appearances in GCW. Only time will tell what the future has in store for The Absolute.

  • Major AEW stars assault Death Riders member infront of Jon Moxley on Collision

One of Jon Moxley’s Death Riders has just suffered attacks from two popular AEW stars on separate occasions. However, the rest of the group just stayed back and watched the events unfold.

This past Wednesday on Dynamite, Hangman Adam Page and Jay White stated their claims to the AEW World Championship. Both were soon met with attacks from the Death Riders, and Wheeler Yuta was one of those who got tangled up with Hangman.

After this incursion, a match between the two was booked tonight for Collision. In the middle of the match, Jon Moxley and the rest of the faction came out to watch Yuta from a distance.

Hangman tried attempting the Buckshot Lariat, but his knee gave in, and he couldn’t complete the move. He decided to end the match with a Deadeye instead. Post-match, he continued the attack on Wheeler, hoping that the Death Riders would come down and save him, but none of them batted an eye.

It was Jay White who came out, steel chair in hand, as he chased away Page. After sending his rival running, he came back and hit Wheeler Yuta with a Blade Runner for good measure. Amidst all of this, Jon Moxley stood unfazed. It remains to be seen which of these two will end up being his next challenger.

  • Jamie Hayter teases massive debut outside AEW

Jamie Hayter is back in action and ready to face all of AEW’s top talent. However, she’s also eyeing a match at a legendary venue.

The partnership between AEW and NJPW has only strengthened in 2024, and the two will hold another joint pay-per-view on January 5: Wrestle Dynasty. The event will take place in the Tokyo Dome one day after Wrestle Kingdom 19 and will feature major stars from All Elite Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Stardom, and CMLL.

Kenny Omega is already scheduled for a match at Wrestle Dynasty, but Hayter wants to compete in the Tokyo Dome as well. The 29-year-old took to X/Twitter today with a tease for the January event:

“Jamie Hayter at the Tokyo Dome? Feels like fate whispering in my ear,” she wrote.

Jamie Hayter can make it to Wrestle Dynasty in the International Women’s Cup

As it happens, several top stars from AEW, ROH, Stardom, and CMLL are competing for a spot in the International Women’s Cup finals at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5, and Jamie Hayter is in the running.

Hayter defeated Queen Aminata on the most recent episode of Dynamite to advance to the quarterfinals. At Collision: Winter is Coming on December 14, she’ll face either Serena Deeb or Willow Nightingale, with the winner advancing to the finals.

One competitor from each promotion will then enter a Four-Way match at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5 to determine the winner of the International Women’s Cup. The winner will then get a title shot in the promotion of their choosing.

Hayter has held championships in Stardom and All Elite Wrestling, but she’ll be able to choose which title she wants to go after if she’s able to win the International Women’s Cup. However, several obstacles stand in her way, beginning with either Deeb or Nightingale on December 14.

  • 41-year-old former WWE star makes blockbuster AEW return on Collision

A former WWE Superstar made his return to AEW on the most recent episode of Collision after more than three months. The star has made a number of All Elite appearances since the last year.

The 41-year-old star in discussion is Mistico (fka Sin Cara). The masked Luchador gained prominence during his time in WWE from 2011 to 2013. He is currently signed to the major Mexican wrestling promotion CMLL, where he has been a top star for the past few years.

The legendary Luchador has made multiple appearances on AEW TV since last year owing to the working relationship between CMLL and Tony Khan-led promotion. Meanwhile, Mistico made his All Elite return on the most recent episode of Collision, where he teamed up with Private Party to defeat MxM and Johnny TV in a Trios Match.

The 41-year-old star was last seen on an episode of AEW Collision in August 2024 where he teamed up with Hologram for a tag team bout. Many WWE fans still know the legend as ‘Sin Cara’ even after a decade since using the character.

Only time will tell when Mistico will be seen on Tony Khan’s promotion again and whether the Jacksonville-based company has any big plans for the CMLL legend in the future.

  • Top AEW star walks away from Adam Cole’s faction amid MJF threat

A former WWE star walked away from his friend Adam Cole, and his group during a backstage segment on AEW Collision, amid a feud with MJF. Cole and his faction have continued their feud with Friedman since last year.

The top AEW star in question is the former NXT star, Kyle O’Reilly. Kyle is currently involved in a storyline with his friends, Adam Cole and Roderick Strong of the Undisputed Kingdom faction. After MJF had recently defeated and seemingly broken Strong’s arm at Full Gear, O’Reilly had carried the 41-year-old out of the arena.

Kyle O’Reilly also ridiculed Cole for being obsessed with MJF at the expense of his friends at Full Gear. Meanwhile, O’Reilly was confronted by Matt Taven and Mike Bennett of The Undisputed Kingdom backstage at AEW Collision. Taven and Bennett asked Kyle to fight alongside them to deal with the MJF threat.

However, O’Reilly walked away from the duo as he seemingly disagreed with the group regarding the MJF situation. He is also set for the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal next Wednesday.

O’Reilly will attempt to capture the Dynamite Diamond Ring that is currently held by Maxwell Jacob Friedman. It remains to be seen how the 37-year-old plays a factor in the current storyline between Adam Cole and MJF.

  • Controversial AEW star says he could have sued Swerve Strickland after backstage assault

Swerve Strickland has been warned by a controversial AEW star that he could have been sued after a backstage assault. This feud between the two athletes is about to take off.

Max Caster and Strickland had a tiff backstage on AEW Dynamite where the latter viciously attacked him. It was clear to see why Caster was unhappy. He was backstage at AEW Collision where he spoke to Lexy Nair and said that he could have sued Swerve Strickland but that he would not do that. Instead, he challenged him to a match on Dynamite this coming Wednesday.

“You know Swerve has been acting crazy. He assaulted me, the best wrestler alive. He ripped my jacket. I mean I could sue that guy but that is not real rap. I am not going to do that but Swerve, look into my eyes. You don’t deserve the opportunities you have gotten here in AEW. People like you don’t deserve that. But here I am giving this gold toothed bi**h the chance of a lifetime to go eye to eye with the best wrestler alive. Swerve, I want you this Wednesday on Dynamite,” he said. [0:06 – 0:40]

The challenge has been made and it will be interesting to see what Swerve Strickland’s answer will be.

  • Surprising end to AEW Collision after The Elite member’s rare appearance

The latest episode of AEW Collision had a shocking conclusion after a member of The Elite made his in-ring return. The main event of the show featured a match from the ongoing Continental Classic tournament.

The Elite member in question is the current AEW Continental Champion, Kazuchika Okada. The 37-year-old star made his return to in-ring action after over a month on the most recent episode of Collision. Okada will be defending his Continental title in the Continental Classic.

On this week’s AEW Collision main event, Okada competed in his first Continental Classic match in the Blue League against the current TNT Champion, Daniel Garcia. The two gave it their all in the match, going the full 20 minutes of the time limit. Unfortunately, the time expired when Garcia got close to making Okada tap out.

The match ended in a draw, and both Kazuchika Okada and Daniel Garcia will have to share one point each in the Continental Classic Blue League standings. After the match, Okada offered Garcia a handshake only to disrespect him by showing him the finger in his own style.

Only time will tell if Kazuchika Okada manages to retain his Continental title or if there will be a new champion after the tournament is over.

  • Popular AEW star unmasked in a shocking twist on Rampage

An AEW star has just shockingly unmasked themselves during their match on Rampage. Tonight’s special episode of the Friday night show was set to feature Lucha Libre talents from both All Elite Wrestling and CMLL.

Last week, Thunder Rosa dropped a challenge for any luchadora who wished to face her on the show. She was then approached by Harley Cameron wearing Hologram’s signature mask. She claimed she was called Harleygram, a luchadora who wanted her shot at Rosa. The match was made official for this week.

Two weeks ago, the two clashed in a Dia De Los Muertos on AEW Collision and it seemed as if Cameron wanted retribution for that loss. Harleygram began the match pulling out several acrobatic moves as if she were a real luchadora. She then surprised everyone by removing her own mask and revealing her face. Funnily, she would end up putting it back on moments later, and Thunder Rosa would be the one to remove it for good.

After several other back-and-forth exchanges, La Mera Mera would plant Harley with a Tijuana Bomb for yet another victory against her opponent.

On Collision earlier tonight, Rosa expressed her intentions of going after Mariah May and her AEW Women’s World Championship. Tonight’s win may be the beginning of her conquest to get back to the top.
