  • Raquel Rodriguez gives an honest answer to whether she plans to go after Liv Morgan’s title following WWE Survivor Series: WarGames

Liv Morgan has held the Women’s World Championship since WWE King and Queen of the Ring 2024. Meanwhile, Liv’s Judgment Day partner, Raquel Rodriguez, recently addressed whether she planned to go after her friend’s title.

After several months of absence due to health issues, the 33-year-old returned to WWE TV at Bad Blood to help Morgan retain the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley via DQ. The Miracle Kid’s next title defense would be against IYO SKY. The latter earned the title shot after winning a Battle Royal on RAW earlier this month.

In a recent interview with WrestleRant Radio, the newest Judgment Day member addressed whether she was interested in pursuing Morgan’s title. The former Women’s Tag Team Champion claimed she would not do that to her “sister,” adding that she would help the 30-year-old keep the championship for as long as possible.

“At the moment, of course, I’m not going after Liv’s title. I won’t do that to my sister. I’m here to help her keep that title as long as possible,” she said. [8:02-8:09]

Raquel Rodriguez has one piece of advice for Liv Morgan ahead of WWE Survivor Series: WarGames

The Judgment Day’s Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez will team up with Candice LeRae, Tiffany Stratton, and Nia Jax tonight to battle Bayley, Naomi, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, and IYO SKY in the Women’s WarGames Match at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.

During the same interview with WrestleRant Radio, Rodriguez revealed the piece of advice she gave to the Women’s World Champion ahead of the latter’s maiden participation in a WarGames match.

“The biggest thing I’ve kinda told her and kinda coached her on was, you know, ‘Liv, you’re a lot smaller than the rest of us. You’re feisty, Chiquita!’ She’s feisty, but she’s little. But I think the biggest tip I could give for her was to not get caught,” she said.

It will be interesting to see which team comes out victorious in the anticipated clash at tonight’s WWE Premium Live Event.

  • Roman Reigns to face huge betrayal; Sami Zayn’s WrestleMania 41 match teased? – 5 WWE stars who can make a surprise appearance at Survivor Series

Following weeks of gripping build-up, WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 is all set to take place tonight. There could be plenty of surprise appearances in store for the fans.

Like most WWE PLEs this year, Survivor Series is currently scheduled to feature five matches. That means numerous top stars are set to miss the pivotal show. But just because a star hasn’t been advertised for a match yet doesn’t mean fans won’t see them tonight.

That said, here are five top WWE Superstars who could show up unannounced tonight and reinforce the promotion’s mantra of ‘Expect the Unexpected.’

#5. 10-time WWE World Champion The Rock to get involved in Bloodline business

Apart from his brief appearance at Bad Blood, The Rock hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since April. Despite that, his presence subtly looms over the ongoing Bloodline saga.

Tonight at Survivor Series, the New Bloodline is all set to square off against the OG Bloodline and CM Punk in a WarGames match. Even though there have been no signs pointing to an appearance from The Rock, several fans are counting on him to show up. After all, The Final Boss was a key part of this epic saga earlier this year.

In case The Brahma Bull does appear tonight, his return should be utilized to propel the Bloodline civil war to even greater heights. One way to do that would be by having The Rock betray Roman Reigns and reveal himself as the true mastermind behind the New Bloodline.

#4. Seth Rollins might invade the WarGames match

Up until last Friday morning, several fans were confident that Seth Rollins would be the fifth member of team OG Bloodline. After all, Rollins’ current rival, Bronson Reed, will be representing the Solo Sikoa-led group.

However, in a surprising turn of events, CM Punk showed up to help Roman Reigns. The fact that Punk and Rollins’ budding rivalry has been a highlight of RAW since January should mean that The Chicago native’s involvement in tonight’s WarGames match might rub The Visionary the wrong way.

Thus, a vexed Seth Rollins may appear out of the blue at Survivor Series to lay out both Bronson Reed and CM Punk. Furthermore, he could come face-to-face with his arch-rival Roman Reigns for the first time since WrestleMania XL.

#3. Jade Cargill could make first appearance after being attacked in the parking lot

While the build-up to the men’s WarGames match has been the undisputed highlight of the road to Survivor Series 2024, the women’s version also has all the makings of an instant classic.

Up until last week, Jade Cargill was part of the stacked lineup. However, an injury angle led to her getting replaced by 2024 women’s Royal Rumble winner, Bayley. What’s interesting is the fact that the rumor alluding to Cargill being legitimately hurt was debunked.

Thus, if the injury angle was part of a future storyline, that means the 32-year-old rising star shouldn’t stay on the sidelines for long. In fact, she could make a surprise appearance at Survivor Series to lend Bianca Belair and the rest of the babyface team a helping hand.

#2. Finn Balor could remind Damian Priest that he’s not finished with him

Survivor Series 2024 will feature a rematch from SummerSlam as Gunther and Damian Priest will fight over the World Heavyweight Championship. Their previous match ended with The Ring General walking out as the victor after Finn Balor betrayed El Campeon.

Nearly two months have passed since Priest avenged the betrayal by beating his former Judgment Day ally. Thus, he is fully confident that his path to championship glory is all clear. That thought might age terribly since Balor hasn’t forgotten about his defeat and could be plotting his next move.

Thus, in a repeat of SummerSlam, the World Tag Team champion could once again cost Priest his match against Gunther. This time, though, it’s highly likely that Balor unleashes ‘The Demon’ to deal with The Archer of Infamy.

#1. Kevin Owens could attend Survivor Series as a ‘fan’

In the last few months, Kevin Owens lost two of his best friends on SmackDown due to Cody Rhodes burying the hatchet with Roman Reigns. Tonight, he might lose a third one.

Since Crown Jewel 2024, Sami Zayn, the man Kevin Owens main-evented WrestleMania 39 with, has been fighting alongside The Original Tribal Chief. Obviously, that wouldn’t sit well with The Prizefighter. However, Owens hasn’t gotten the opportunity to confront Zayn about it due to his feud with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.

But with The American Nightmare not supposed to be part of Survivor Series, fans might get the long-awaited segment between the Canadian best friends. Since Nick Aldis might not allow a volatile Owens to roam backstage, he might show up as a paying fan and confront The Honorary Uce, which could start an emotional rivalry culminating in a brutal match at WrestleMania 41.

  • WWE Hall of Famer shares backstage reaction to controversial live segment: “We were just laughing and having a good time” (Exclusive)

One of WWE’s boldest segments is something that is probably etched in every veteran fan’s head. A Hall of Famer, who was active in the company at that time shared his reaction from backstage when the segment happened live.

The segment being talked about is when Edge had a live s*x segment with Lita on WWE RAW in 2006. Edge had just defeated John Cena, winning his first Heavyweight Title. This, according to him, deserved a celebration and led to the controversial segment.

On Sportskeeda’s The Wrestling Time Machine, Teddy Long was asked about how the atmosphere was backstage during the segment. The Hall of Famer chuckled and stated:

“Oh sh*t we were just laughing and having a good time. It’s different when you know, you know what I mean. You are just waiting, you know, just waiting to see it. But I thought it was absolutely great man.” [8:01 onwards]

A former WWE writer had explained how the they came up with the idea for the segment

A creative writer at the time, Christopher DeJoseph, apparently took inspiration from Vince McMahon’s ideas.

Speaking on Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw, the writer explained that he had asked Vince McMahon what he would have done in Edge’s shoes.

“Edge had just won the title from John Cena and cashed in the Money in the Bank. We were in a meeting with Vince and he said, ‘Well what would you do if you won the title and you’re Edge?’ and I said, ‘I would have sex with my girlfriend in the middle of the ring for everybody to see.’ So that’s kind of how that live sex celebration thing happened.” [H/T EWrestling News]

The segment remains one of the most polarizing moments in WWE history to this day.

  • Randy Orton challenged to blockbuster match outside WWE ahead of Survivor Series 2024

A rising star has laid out a massive challenge to Randy Orton. He wants to have a match against Orton and even referenced Triple H in the process. Gabe Kidd, a member of The Bullet Club in New Japan Pro Wrestling, took to X (fka Twitter) to call out The Viper.

Orton is currently recovering from the heinous attack Kevin Owens unleashed on him on the 8th November edition of SmackDown. Randy Orton was stretchered out of the arena and has since been away from WWE TV. In his absence, Owens has kickstarted a feud with Cody Rhodes, and the two are set to collide at Saturday Night’s Main Event for the latter’s Undisputed WWE Title.

Amid this, Orton has been challenged to a huge match by an unexpected name. Gabe Kidd, who is no stranger to issuing threats to legends of the business, has now taken to X to make another bold challenge. The 27-year-old star even referenced WWE CCO Triple H in the tweet, asking The Viper to talk to his boss.

    Check it out below:

“@RandyOrton WHAT YOU SAYING FAM. SPEAK TO YOUR BOSS AND COME FIGHT ME. YOU COULD NEVER DO WHAT I DO. IF YOU DISAGREE, COME DO SOMETHING,” tweeted Gabe Kidd.

Gabe Kidd challenged Randy Orton to a dream match at Wrestle Kingdom 19

A few months back, Gabe Kidd urged WWE to kick the “Forbidden Door” open and let him face Ortonat Wrestle Kingdom 19. He also recalled how The Viper once had an online beef with Will Ospreay that didn’t result in a match between them.

“I’ll say this right now, you want to talk about a real Forbidden Door, let’s open it. I’ll f*cking put this out there right now. Wrestle Kingdom 19, I want Randy Orton one on one. I’m saying that right now. He had a bit of beef with Will Ospreay back in the day, he didn’t do sh*t about it. Randy, I want you one on one. You want to open the real Forbidden Door? I don’t give a f*ck about AEW. I’ll deal with them when I go there,” said Kidd.

Considering WWE has started various partnerships with outside promotions in recent times, it remains to be seen if Kidd’s desire to face Orton ever turns true.

  • WWE controversy “alienated half the locker room,” Jim Ross says

Jim Ross was WWE’s lead play-by-play commentator in the late 1990s. In a recent podcast episode, the veteran announcer recalled how the Montreal Screwjob divided wrestlers in the WWE locker room.

At Survivor Series 1997, Shawn Michaels won the WWE Championship from Bret Hart in one of the most controversial incidents in wrestling history. WCW-bound Hart entered the match thinking he would retain the title in front of his Canadian fans. However, due to Hart’s real-life refusal to lose to Michaels, then-WWE Chairman Vince McMahon changed the finish without telling The Hitman.

Ross said on his Grilling JR podcast that the incident should have been handled differently to avoid tension behind the scenes:

“It got too political. It wasn’t a good time to be working there because you had a lot of hurt feelings, a lot of bulls**t going on, that shouldn’t have been going on. Look, I don’t have an issue with Shawn Michaels beating Bret. That’s not the issue. But, man, I would have thought about how to present it differently so it didn’t alienate half the locker room.” [44:14 – 44:41]

Hart worked for WWE for 13 years before the Montreal Screwjob incident occurred. According to Ross, the Canadian star was “loved” and “respected” by fellow wrestlers in the locker room.

Jim Ross compares Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon

Although he was one of WWE’s biggest stars, it is well known that Shawn Michaels could be difficult to deal with backstage in the 1990s.

Jim Ross believes Vince McMahon liked Michaels because he viewed himself as a real-life version of The Heartbreak Kid’s on-screen persona:

“Michaels had lobbied for it [defeating Bret Hart]. Michaels had ingratiated himself with Vince and, believe it or not, Vince identified with HBK. Vince saw himself as an extension of Shawn Michaels. Cocky, arrogant, all that good stuff. But he [Vince McMahon] was hellbent on, ‘We’re gonna do this [Montreal Screwjob incident],’ so we did it.” [43:41 – 44:10]

Hart and Michaels mended their strained relationship many years ago. The latter now works as the head of creative for WWE’s NXT developmental brand.

  • Roman Reigns wouldn’t trust major star, says top name, and vice versa heading into WWE Survivor Series: WarGames

Roman Reigns has trust issues in WWE, as many stars have turned their backs on him over the years. Meanwhile, ”Big” Bronson Reed said that the Original Tribal Chief and CM Punk may have trust issues ahead of the upcoming Bloodline WarGames Match for a major reason.

Earlier this month, The Best in The World joined forces with the OG Bloodline for the Men’s WarGames Match at Survivor Series: WarGames in Canada. While The Usos had no issues with it, the OTC seemingly looked confused and upset with The Second City Saint’s inclusion in The Bloodline saga.

In an interview on WWE’s LA Previa, Bronson Reed, who is a part of Solo Sikoa’s team, said that the Original Tribal Chief and The Straight Edge Superstar may not trust each other, as their team, unlike the new Bloodline, wasn’t a united front, adding that one can’t have two major star players on the same side.

“Yeah. I mean, if I were Roman Reigns, I wouldn’t trust CM Punk. If I were CM Punk, I wouldn’t trust Roman Reigns. I guess the common bond there is Paul Heyman, but they don’t have the unity that The New Bloodline has. We’re all together, and we’re all thinking the same. We’re one tribal mind. I’m interested to see what happens there, and I don’t think you can have two MVPs on one team,” Reed said. [From 03:58 onwards]

Roman Reigns had a meeting with CM Punk on SmackDown ahead of their WWE Survivor Series: WarGames match

CM Punk’s return didn’t sit well with Roman Reigns as The Voice of The Voiceless appeared with the OTC’s Wiseman and joined forces with the OG Bloodline last week. The Original Tribal Chief wanted to resolve the issue and set up a meeting with The Second City Saint on Friday Night SmackDown.

On the latest edition of WWE SmackDown, Reigns and Punk had a conversation, with Paul Heyman playing the role of a mediator. The Original Tribal Chief expressed his displeasure but understood the task at hand and agreed to team up with The Best in The World. Moreover, CM Punk made it clear that he joined forces with Roman and Co. for Paul Heyman.

The Second City Saint also revealed that The Wiseman owed a favor in exchange for his help in Canada. The shot faded to black when Heyman told Reigns to focus on the upcoming match and didn’t reveal the favor in question to his Tribal Chief.

Speaking on the Wrestling Classic podcast, The Salt of the Earth reacted to Gabe Kidd talking smack about him and teased possibly going to Japan to confront the NJPW Strong Openweight Champion.

“I’ve never been to Japan. If I do go to Japan, it’s going to be because my boss is going to force me to do that indie show on January 5th. I think they’re calling it something Dynasty; I can’t remember the name. There was this little, you know, chubby kid—I think his name is Gabe. Is it Gabe? CDD Gabe? Kid Gabe? Gabe Kid? That’s the one, that’s the one, yeah, sorry. And, you know, he was talking smack. So, who knows, maybe that will go down at some point.”

We will have to wait and see if a match between Gabe Kidd and Maxwell Jacob Friedman happens in the near future.

  • Judgment Day member teases going after new WWE title so the faction could “carry all the gold”

Three out of six Judgment Day members currently hold WWE championships. A member of the group recently teased bringing another title to the faction.

Last Monday, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce introduced the new Women’s Intercontinental Championship, a couple of weeks after Nick Aldis presented a new Women’s United States Title on SmackDown. While the Women’s United States Championship tournament has already kicked off on the blue brand, another one is set to take place on RAW to crown the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

In a recent interview with WrestleRant Radio, Raquel Rodriguez claimed she might go after the newly introduced Women’s Intercontinental Title so that The Judgment Day would have “all the gold.” While Finn Balor and JD McDonagh carry the World Tag Team Title, Liv Morgan is the Women’s World Champion:

“Hey, there’s the IC Title, you know, I can go after that so that Judgment Day is carrying all the gold. We’ll see,” she said. [18:00 – 18:04]

Raquel Rodriguez won’t go after another WWE title

In the same interview with WrestleRant Radio, Raquel Rodriguez discussed potentially pursuing Liv Morgan’s Women’s World Championship. She disclosed that she has no plans to do so.

Meanwhile, the Judgment Day member explained that she would help her partner keep the Women’s World Title as long as she could:

“At the moment, of course, I’m not going after Liv’s title. I won’t do that to my sister. I’m here to help her keep that title as long as possible,” she said.

Since joining the Stamford-based company, Rodriguez has held the NXT Women’s Tag Team Title, NXT Women’s Championship, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Title. It would be interesting to see if she would become the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

  • Female WWE star dreads the day she may have to turn babyface

A top WWE Superstar recently revealed why she enjoys playing a villainous role on television. The star also expressed concern about the day she may have to transition to a babyface character.

Since her return to WWE at the 2023 Royal Rumble, Chelsea Green quickly rose to prominence. With her “Karen-esque” heel character, The Hot Mess went on to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championship.

The 33-year-old star recently defeated Blair Davenport and Bianca Belair in the first-round tournament for the Women’s United States Championship. Ahead of the Survivor Series: WarGames PLE in Vancouver, Canada, Green made a bold statement about being a heel.

In a recent interview with Canucks Central, Chelsea Green explained that she enjoys the authenticity of playing a bad guy role, as it allows her to express her unfiltered and nasty thoughts that she wouldn’t normally share. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion admitted that she fears the day she would have to transition to a potential babyface role in the future.

“There’s something so authentic about talking s**t honestly. Just being nasty, and saying the thoughts that you never actually let come to the surface. You can kind of play with that as a heel in wrestling. I have so much fun doing it. I’m going to fear for the day where I have to be the good guy,” Green said. [H/T: SEScoops]

    WWE veteran praises Chelsea Green

The Hot Mess is slated to face Bayley in the semi-final round of the Women’s United States Title tournament. Meanwhile, a wrestling veteran shared his two cents on Green’s current run in WWE.

Speaking on an episode of Smack Talk, Dutch Mantellpraised Chelsea Green’s star power and recalled a humorous segment from her TNA days that helped him appreciate her personality.

“I’m just happy she won it. She’s a star in the making. She’s going out there; they may be directing her a little bit, but that’s her. That’s what she’s going to do. I like the dress she wore out there. I did a wedding with her when I was with TNA when she got up and standing at the altar. It was hilarious,” he said.

  • Rhea Ripley sends heartfelt message to Naomi

WWE Superstars Rhea Ripley and Naomi will be on the same team for the upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames. Ahead of tonight’s premium live event, Mami sent a message to The Glow on social media.

In the Women’s WarGames Match, the team of Ripley, Naomi, Bianca Belair, IYO SKY, and Bayley will collide with Nia Jax, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Candice LeRae, and Tiffany Stratton.

On last night’s SmackDown, the babyface and heel sides engaged in a heated verbal confrontation before erupting into a brutal physical brawl. Fans caught a glimpse of what might unfold inside the double-caged steel structure.

That being said, Naomi turned 37 years old today. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the former WWE Women’s World Champion sent a heartfelt birthday message to The Glow and hyped her up for the upcoming WarGames Match.

“Happy birthday glowstick. Let’s go to WAR!” Rhea Ripley wrote.

Check out The Nightmare’s tweet below:

WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley claims she will not fall victim to team Liv Morgan’s “mind games”

On the November 29, 2024, episode of SmackDown, the team of Morgan, Jax, Stratton, LeRae, and Rodriguez attempted to manipulate and sow discord within the babyface team. After the show ended, Mami addressed the matter.

Speaking to Byron Saxton on SmackDown LowDown, Rhea Ripley dismissed the mind games played by her WWE opponents, arguing that her team, despite past issues, has been united by a common goal.

“Byron, it’s Liv Morgan we’re talking about here, it’s Nia Jax, it’s Raquel Rodrigez, it’s Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae. Of course, it’s mind games. Honestly, in my opinion, I think they’re just projecting what’s happening in their own little team onto us. Yes, I know that the girls on my team have had their difficulties in the past. But we all have the same goal, and that’s to get our hands on every single one of them,” she said.

It remains to be seen whether Rhea Ripley’s team will emerge victorious in tonight’s Women’s WarGames Match at Survivor Series.
