  • AEW’s secret reason for quickly splitting Mercedes Mone and Kamille, troubling backstage details surface [Reports]

Mercedes Mone has been the AEW TBS Champion since May 2024. Her reign has been dominant. One of the major reasons for this is her alliance with Kamille. Unfortunately, on this week’s Dynamite, their partnership ended.

The relationship between The CEO and The Brickhouse was good at the start. However, in the past few weeks, the former NWA World Women’s Champion had been letting the 32-year-old down. Not only did she lose a match to Kris Statlander on Dynamite, but she failed to protect the former Sasha Banks from the 29-year-old multiple times.

Due to growing frustration, Mone came to the verge of firing her henchwoman on Dynamite. Interestingly, Kamille didn’t give The CEO the satisfaction of saying the two dreaded words. Instead, she quit on her own.

This segment received a thunderous reaction from the crowd in attendance. Unfortunately, according to Wrestling Observer Live’s Bryan Alvarez AEW Creative might not have a plan in place for The Brickhouse. He believes that the company simply split them just because they wanted to get done with it. Furthermore, he stated that Mercedes Moné vs. Kamille could just be a pipe dream at this moment.

Kamille told Mercedes Mone to shut up

On this week’s Dynamite, Mercedes Mone praised Kris Statlander for her performance against her at Full Gear 2024. Furthermore, she criticized Kamille and almost fired her.

“At Full Gear I showed the world how a real woman gets the job done. And Kamille, since you can’t get the job done, I want to tell you—”

However, The Brickhouse didn’t let her continue. Instead, she said that she was ending their alliance.

“Shut up! Are you stupid or are you dumb? You can’t fire me because I quit.” said Kamille. [H/T AEW’s website]

Tony Khan will probably capitalize on this situation and book a match between the two women soon.

  • Details of what Jim Ross told Bobby Lashley directly to his face have been disclosed

Bobby Lashley is a superathlete. The All Mighty proved why he is one of the most dominant names in the modern era by winning multiple titles in WWE. Currently, he is signed to All Elite Wrestling.

Bobby Lashley is a member of The Hurt Syndicate, alongside MVP and Shelton Benjamin. The faction is a force to be reckoned with. Furthermore, the stable is in an intense rivalry with former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana. At Full Gear, The All Mighty defeated The New Flavor via technical submission. Their showdown was one of the best matches of the night.

Meanwhile, on the latest edition of Grilling JR with Jim Ross, the 72-year-old stated that the sky was the limit for the former WWE Champion in Tony Khan’s promotion. The veteran revealed that he told Lashley that the latter would reach the “next level” in the Jacksonville-based company.

“Next level. I told him so to his face. Now I hired Bobby. Bobby is one of my guys. I told him; I said, ‘Now, it’s the next step. This was good. But not good enough!’ And I think he agreed with that. He wants to give some outstanding in-ring matches. I think that’s great. He’s an athlete. He’s a natural athlete, so he’s competitive,” Ross said. [From 10:56 to 11:35]

Bobby Lashley talked about him leaving WWE and joining AEW

In a recent interaction with Gabby AF, Bobby Lashley stated that he could not go out of WWE the way he wanted to.

The All Mighty further revealed that he joined AEW to work with MVP and Shelton Benjamin again.

“I was like, ‘If I’m going to go out, there are certain ways that I want to go out.’ I didn’t get an opportunity to go out the way that I wanted to with putting guys over and having a feud with those guys. Another avenue I could be happy with is to be able to work with MVP and Shelton again; being able to run with that and have fun with it!” he said. [H/T: Inside The Ropes]

What the future holds for the former WWE star in All Elite Wrestling remains to be seen.

  • 36-year-old WWE star wants to win the World Title; last singles title run was over three years ago

WWE Superstars are always eyeing the top prize in the Stamford-based company, and one star, in particular, addressed the same. Recently, Bronson Reed has had a lot on his plate but stated he wants to win either world title in the promotion.

In 2022, Bronson Reed made a shocking return to the Stamford-based promotion under the new regime and kicked off a dominant run on Monday Night RAW. Lately, The Colossal’s alliance with Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline has put him on the map as a credible threat in the company.

In an interview with WWE’s LA Previa, the 36-year-old star was asked about his ultimate goal in the company. The Auszilla stated he wants to win either the Undisputed WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship after he moves past The Bloodline saga following Survivor Series: WarGames in Canada.

“I think the ultimate goal was to get to the very top. So, WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Championship. One day,” Reed said. (From 02:30 onwards)

Bronson Reed’s last title run was before his WWE release

A few years ago, Bronson Reed signed with the Stamford-based company and started his journey on the then-Black and Gold brand. In the coming months, The Colossal became a notable name in the men’s division and shared the ring with other top contenders.

In 2021, The Auszilla became a credible threat in the division and secured a title match against the North American Champion, Johnny Gargano. The 36-year-old star won his first title in the promotion and held it for a few months before he lost it to Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, aka Swerve Strickland.

Contrary to popular belief, Bronson Reed’s current run on the main roster is his first run as the old regime released him in August. The 36-year-old had a dark match on SmackDown and appeared on Main Event before his eventual release in 2021.

  • 38-year-old former champion to attack CM Punk at Survivor Series, claims WWE veteran: “He’s gonna cost them”

WWE star CM Punk has been grabbing headlines after he showed up as the fifth member of the OG Bloodline last week on SmackDown. The Best in the World agreed to fight side-by-side with Roman Reigns and his entourage to take down Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline.

Paul Heyman pulled off a major coup as he enlisted Punk for Roman’s team at WarGames. Punk had not been seen on WWE TV since the RAW after Bad Blood where he announced that he would be taking some time off after his brutal Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre.

This week on the Busted Open podcast, WWE legend Mark Henry felt there would be a huge twist towards the end of the match. He felt Seth Rollins would somehow show up and attack Punk. He detailed that The Visionary would take this opportunity to destroy the Straight Edge Star and would end up costing Roman Reigns the match.

“I’m just thinking that Seth Rollins interferes somehow. I just got this gut feeling that Seth is gonna take it upon himself to say, ‘No, I’m gonna inflict some pain on Punk.’ He’s gonna cost them.” [From 5:42 – 6:05]

CM Punk and Roman Reigns had a sit-down with Paul Heyman

This week on SmackDown, WWE aired a video of Roman Reigns and CM Punk discussing the team-up at Survivor Series. Paul Heyman was at the table too.

Punk made it clear that he was doing it to get revenge on Solo and his henchmen for roughing up his friend, Paul. The Straight Edge Star said that after this match, The Wiseman would owe him a favor. However, when Roman asked Paul about the favor, Heyman avoided the question and requested his Tribal Chief to focus on WarGames.

After this week’s SmackDown, it is evident that there are more layers to this storyline and CM Punk has something up his sleeve.

  • “You don’t know what’s coming!” – Top WWE star’s daunting message to the OG Bloodline team after Jacob Fatu defeats Jey Uso on SmackDown

WWE Superstar Jacob Fatu picked up his first singles victory by defeating The OG Bloodline’s Jey Uso on last night’s SmackDown. After this crucial bout, Solo Sikoa warned Roman Reigns’ team ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames.

The YEET Master faced The Samoan Werewolf in a one-on-one match on the November 29, 2024, installment of the blue brand. The two men utilized every move in their arsenal and pushed each other to the limits during the Men’s WarGames Advantage Match.

However, it was Fatu who secured the advantage for his team at Survivor Series: WarGames. After the 32-year-old star defeated his opponent, he met Solo Sikoa, “Big” Bronson Reed, and The Tongans on the ramp on SmackDown.

WWE later shared a video on Instagram of The Street Champion verbally assaulting Jey Uso after the Friday Night Show went off the air. Solo Sikoa warned the OG Bloodline and CM Punk that his team would go to war with the babyfaces.

The self-proclaimed Tribal Chief confidently stated that his group was prepared for the battle and that Roman Reigns’ team didn’t know what was coming.

“YEET! That’s what I am talking about, baby; that’s what I am talking about. Oh yeah! We [New Bloodline] are about to take your a** to war. You don’t know what’s coming!” Sikoa said.

You can check out the video posted by WWE below:

WWE veteran says there’s no stake in The Bloodline WarGames Match

In the upcoming Men’s WarGames Match, Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk will face the new Bloodline and “Big” Bronson Reed inside the double-caged steel structure. However, a wrestling veteran recently criticized WWE’s booking ahead of the Survivor Series: WarGames PLE.

Speaking on Sportskeeda’s BroDown, Vince Russo questioned Triple H’s booking, arguing that the absence of significant stakes in The Bloodline WarGames Match would devalue the potential outcome.

“If [Solo] Sikoa’s team wins, there’s no stake. I mean, at least give me… Whatever [sic] team loses, that Bloodline’s gotta break up. I mean, at least give me something. I’m trying to understand; what [sic] does it matter if either the babyfaces or the heels win?” he said.

Only time will tell if Solo Sikoa has any surprises in store to defeat the OG Bloodline and CM Punk tonight at the premium live event in Vancouver, Canada.

  • Roman Reigns to face former WWE Champion in the main event of WrestleMania 41 Night One? It’s not Cody Rhodes or The Rock!

Roman Reigns boasts an impressive WrestleMania record, headlining the spectacle nine times. Although the biggest annual extravaganza is still far away, there are rumors that he will be involved with either The Rock or Cody Rhodes at The Show of Shows next year. However, given the recent development on SmackDown, Reigns’ story could take a whole new turn putting him against a former WWE Champion at WrestleMania 41.

The star in question is CM Punk. The Best in the World had an intense sit-down confrontation with The OTC on SmackDown. Although they will team up at Survivor Series: WarGames, the two superstars do not appear to be on the same page. Punk stated that once WarGames is done and dusted, Reigns could revisit his conversation with him, hinting at a potential future showdown.

Given their stature in the industry, WWE could be setting the stage for an epic clash between CM Punk and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41. Notably, Paul Heyman was caught in a dilemma to choose sides between the two superstars. Throughout the segment, there were subtle hints that The Second City Saint might be interested in having Heyman back on his side.

Additionally, he even referred to the WWE Hall of Famer as “Our Wiseman,” before walking away, igniting tensions between them. Given the connection between Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman, this segment could be the catalyst of the WrestleMania showdown between the former Undisputed WWE Champion and The Straight Edge Superstar.

This match could also be a surprising swerve for the fans who are expecting to see Roman going up against The Rock or Cody Rhodes in Las Vegas next year. While Rhodes vs The Final Boss could headline Night Two of WrestleMania 41, Reigns vs Punk could main event the Night One of the biggest annual extravaganza.

This would also fulfill CM Punk’s long-standing desire to headline The Showcase of the Immortals. However, this is just speculation at this point, it remains to be seen how things shape up on SmackDown in the coming months.

CM Punk to orchestrate a massive plan against Roman Reigns?

CM Punk and Roman Reigns expressed their thought about each other in the intense segment on SmackDown. While the video package provided a lot of character insights, one of the key highlights was Punk’s revelation that Paul Heyman owes him a favor. This subtle hint could lay the groundwork for a future showdown between The Best in the World and The OTC.

CM Punk has long envisioned a dream of maineventing WrestleMania. While the chances of him securing the main event spot next year seem slim, the favor he sought from Paul Heyman could be the key to making his dream a reality. The 46-year-old could orchestrate a plan to position himself against Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 41 with the help of The Wiseman.

Given the fact that Punk has a lackluster record at WrestleMania, facing a top star like Reigns could be a legacy-defining moment. Driven by an obsession to create the biggest moment of his life, The Second City Saint may be on a mission to defeat WWE’s biggest star on the grandest stage. CM Punk could task Heyman with the mission to make Reigns vs. Punk a reality for next year’s Mania.

On the other hand, Roman Reigns could agree to face The Straight Edge Superstar in the main event of WrestleMania 41 as he does not like the latter. Reigns’ hatred for Punk and The Wiseman’s influence could make this match come to fruition.

  • What did Will Ospreay say about Randy Orton in 2017? Throwback to his big admission amid arguments over the WWE and AEW stars

Randy Orton and Will Ospreay are two of the most popular wrestlers in their respective promotions. But lately, fans have been comparing them on social media.

The wrestling fans have split into two groups on X (fka Twitter). Some claim that The Viper is better than The Aerial Assassin and others believe Ospreay undoubtedly surpasses Orton.

However, there is no actual beef between the two stars. In fact, in 2017 Ospreay even admitted that he likes Randy Orton.

“As much as I enjoy banter. I actually do like Randy Orton,” he wrote in the old post.

    Check out Ospreay’s post below:

Randy Orton made his WWE debut in 2002. He has been a staple of the company since then. Meanwhile, Will Ospreay set foot into the wrestling world a decade later. Both stars are incredible wrestlers, but Orton has more experience than Ospreay.

Jim Ross was concerned for Will Ospreay during his match at AEW Full Gear

Will Ospreay took on Kyle Fletcher at Full Gear on November 23. The match involved a risky spot where the latter executed a Jumping Piledriver into the steel steps on Ospreay.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross stated that he was scared for Ospreay after the deadly spot on the steps. He was genuinely concerned for the star’s well-being.

“But I thought that scared the sh*t out of me, boy. It really did. That spot scared the hell out of me. I thought there’s no way both these dudes are going to walk away from this, okay, but they did. I guess that’s the thing about youth!”

Fletcher turned on his former stablemate Ospreay at WrestleDream last month where he cost him his International Championship. Due to the distraction caused by him, The Aerail Assassin lost his title to Konosuke Takeshita in a Three-Way Match that also featured Ricochet.

  • Roman Reigns undergoing an emotional crisis ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames, feels WWE legend

Former WWE Superstar and wrestling legend Mark Henry recently discussed Roman Reigns’ psyche heading into Survivor Series: WarGames. The star will team up with The Usos, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk to take down The Bloodline.

Roman has been on top of WWE for the last four years. However, he did some dastardly things to get to the top of the mountain. These actions backfired on the star after Solo Sikoa took control of The Bloodline. Roman became a Chief with no tribe. Since then, Reigns has been trying to regain control of the faction he started.

This week on the Busted Open podcast, Henry claimed that Roman possibly wanted to leave a lasting legacy for his children. He felt that The OTC finally realized that his children should remember his greatness and not the immoral things he did to put his opponents away. He felt fans would like to hear a sincere apology from The Tribal Chief before forgiving him completely.

“Listen, Roman also got the advantage of saying, ‘I have kids. I want to be able to pass what I am and what I have done down to my children. I don’t want my children to come here and be looked at as those are Roman’s kids. I want to be happy and excited that my kids came in and not the other way around. I have to fix that. I’ve got to change that.’ And let it be. What father, mother, uncle, aunt, grandfather, grandmother would not want to hear an apology, a real apology?” [From 11:35 to 12:32]

    Check out the podcast below:

Roman Reigns and CM Punk still have some personal issues

Although Roman Reigns andCM Punk have agreed to be on the same team at Survivor Series, the two men have some deep differences.

This was evident when the two former WWE Champions sat down this week on SmackDown. Roman announced that he didn’t like Punk’s attitude or his tone. The Straight Edge Superstar also claimed that he was there only to help Heyman and not Roman Reigns.

The two men had an intense exchange before Punk mentioned that Paul Heyman would owe him a favor after WarGames was done and dusted.

  • “We’re the new gods” – Top WWE star acknowledges Solo Sikoa’s work against The OG Bloodline

Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline gained prominence on WWE SmackDown when the old faction was nowhere to be seen. Recently, Bronson Reed acknowledged Solo Sikoa and his work to eradicate the faction’s previous iteration for a major reason.

Earlier this month, Bronson Reed shocked the world when he stood next to Jacob Fatu and took out The OG Bloodline with the villainous faction on Friday Night SmackDown. The Colossal announced his participation in the upcoming men’s WarGames match and acknowledged Solo Sikoa.

In an interview on WWE’s LA Previa, the 36-year-old star acknowledged Solo Sikoa’s work against Roman Reigns’ faction on the blue brand. Moreover, he claimed they’re the new gods in the promotion and will shine by taking out the old gods, including CM Punk, who’ve had their time in the spotlight.

“I’ve got a lot of respect for Solo Sikoa. I go back with Jacob Fatu. I’ve known him for quite a while. Same as Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, before WWE, I knew these guys. I believe in what Solo’s trying to do. I think Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, and now CM Punk; these are the old gods of WWE.”

    He added:

“They’ve had their time to shine. They’ve been in the main event. They’ve been champions. Now, it’s time for guys like myself, Solo, Jacob, Tonga Loa, and Tama Tonga. We’re the new gods of WWE, and it’s time for us to shine. That’s what we’re going to prove when we get in WarGames,” Reed said. (From 02:53 onwards)

Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline got the advantage heading into WWE Survivor Series: WarGames

Earlier this month, Bronson Reed joined Solo Sikoa’s faction for the upcoming gimmick match in Canada. Later, Paul Heyman returned to television for the first time in months following a vicious attack by the heel stable.

However, he didn’t return alone, as he came with CM Punk, who agreed to aid The OG Bloodline against Sikoa’s group. This led to a one-on-one match between Jey Uso and Jacob Fatu to gain the advantage at the event in Canada.

Unfortunately, Main Event Jey couldn’t get the job done against The Samoan Werewolf and lost cleanly to him in the ring after an impaler DDT and a moonsault in the main event of Friday Night SmackDown.
