  • 4-time babyface World Champion to cost Damian Priest the World Title? Exploring potential help for Gunther

Following this week’s RAW, the next battle for the World Heavyweight Championship has been set. Damian Priest will get a chance to win back the title he lost to Gunther at SummerSlam. Given how their last bout went, their next match, to quote Sheamus, is sure to be a “banger!” However, there is a chance that a four-time babyface World Champion could end up costing The Archer of Infamy.

The babyface in this scenario is actually quite familiar with Gunther. After all, he was belittled by The Ring General not too long ago. If you haven’t guessed already, it’s none other than the former two-time Universal Champion and two-time World Heavyweight Champion, Goldberg. The Myth had a tense confrontation with Gunther at WWE Bad Blood, but this does not explain why he would cost Damian Priest the World Heavyweight Title.

Well, if one thing was established in Bad Blood, it was that Goldberg now has his eyes on Gunther. In other words, The Ring General is “Next!” With that in mind, the Hall of Famer may not want anyone to get to his prey before him. So, in a shocking twist, he could cost Damian Priest the World Heavyweight Championship match, inadvertently helping Gunther.

As things stand, though, this is nothing more than speculation. But there is no denying that this would add some spice to the existing storyline.

Goldberg could end up facing either Damian Priest or Gunther in his retirement match

In case you haven’t heard, Goldberg recently announced that he will have his much-awaited retirement match in 2025. The legendary wrestler, who has been wanting to ride off into the sunset for quite some time now, will perform in-ring duties last time next year. And given the nature of the situation, it only makes sense to have the match at WrestleMania 41.

Now, should the previous scenario come to pass, it would make perfect sense for Goldberg to face either one of Damian Priest or Gunther. Ideally, The Ring General would make the most sense, especially given their history together. But there is no telling what the future holds at this point, so we will all just have to wait and see.

Either way, Goldberg’s final match is sure to be epic. It is something that he has been wanting for years, and he’s finally getting it. Hopefully, it goes exactly the way the former WWE World Champion has always imagined.

  • “He’s not even here” – Plans for The Rock’s return to WWE could not be finalized until minutes before he appeared, says top star

A top WWE Superstar recently shared a story about The Rock’s return last September 2023 in Denver, Colorado in an episode of SmackDown. Austin Theory worked in a segment with The Great One and shared how the plans for it were not finalized until the last minute.

The Rock has been making part-time appearances in WWE over the past year. His return in Colorado to work in a segment with Theoryand Pat McAfee went viral back then. It ended with The People’s Champion hitting The People’s Elbow on A-Town Down.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the former United States Champion explained that the Hollywood star wasn’t even in the build an hour before the show started.

“We had an hour before the show, I get a call, and I end up going to Triple H’s office. He basically gives me the rundown of, ‘Hey, Pat McAfee’s coming back. We’re thinking, you go out there, you cut a promo, and then kind of get on him, and then we’ll have The Rock come out.’ I’m just like, ‘For real? Alright!’ So then they’re sitting there, and then the head writer, he’s like, ‘Hey, there’s not a lot of time left now.’ There’s like 40 minutes, 30 minutes left. He’s like, ‘Just go figure out what you want to say to Pat and then we’ll figure out the rest. We’ll tell you what you’re doing with Rock when he gets here.’ So I’m like, ‘Well, he’s not even here, this is crazy,’” Theory said. [H/T: chrisvanvliet.com]

Following The Rock’s return, he became part of the WrestleMania 40 build-up and turned into The Final Boss. It was considered one of the biggest moments of the year and it will be interesting to see if the character will be back for WrestleMania 41 season.

The Rock returned at WWE Bad Blood

In the main event of WWE Bad Blood, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes teamed up to beat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu of The Bloodline. Reigns and Rhodes finished the show on top before The Rock returned to stare at them and Jimmy Uso.

It’s unclear what WWE has planned for The Final Boss, with reports claiming that he might not even be available for WrestleMania. There are also rumors of a potential match against Cody Rhodes, as well as a triple threat match involving Roman Reigns.

Inamura has been performing in the ring since 2018, primarily for Pro Wrestling NOAH, with stints in NJPW and Pro Wrestling Zero1. During his international career, he won the PROGRESS Atlas Championship by defeating Ricky Knight Jr. at PROGRESS Chapter 166, holding the title for 52 days before losing it to Axel Tischer at Super Strong Style 16.

His last match took place on September 28 against Gene Munny at NORTH Wrestling’s The World At Large.

  • Tiffany Stratton talks about starring in a segment with Ludwig Kaiser, her real-life boyfriend, in WWE

Current Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton addressed the possibility of working with her boyfriend Ludwig Kaiser on WWE TV. During an interview with the Daily Mail, Stratton spoke on the topic:

“I don’t know, if it happens, of course, if the moment and the storyline are right, why not? We’re not in a rush to team up on TV, we’re on different shows, but if the moment comes, I’m ready.”

Stratton, who joined WWE’s main roster in 2024, won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and is currently teaming up with WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax on SmackDown. Kaiser, on the other hand, has ended his partnership with Giovanni Vinci and remains alongside World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER as part of The Imperium on RAW.

“We don’t see each other very often. We have about two days together, but we make those days count,” Stratton added.

  • Ryback threatens journalist after WWE fans are “to blame” for Donald Trump’s victory

Donald Trump was officially elected President of the United States yesterday, November 6, after reaching the coveted 270 electoral votes, defeating Kamala Harris from the Democratic Party, returning to the White House after losing his reelection bid in 2020 when Joe Biden came out on top.

Considered one of the most polarized elections in U.S. history, even personalities from the world of pro wrestling have jumped into this political race, openly declaring their votes.

Names like The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, and Logan Paul have sided with the Republican Party, declaring their support for Trump, while others like Tony Khan and Bryan Danielson have backed the Democratic Party, choosing Harris.

Former WWE Superstar Ryan Reeves, better known as Ryback, who has always been outspoken about his support for Trump, sparked a major controversy by reacting to a post from MSNBC journalist Joy Reid, where she “blames” WWE fans for the Republican’s victory. Ryback stated that he would love to give the journalist a “Shell Shock” on the concrete.

As of this publication, the journalist and the media outlet have not yet responded to the controversial remark made by Ryback.

  • Top WWE star undergoes massive change; brings back old nickname

A top WWE star returned to his roots recently and shared it on social media. Julius Creed of American Made also brought back his old nickname, which could signal a massive change to his character.

Before becoming a WWE Superstar, Creed was a standout collegiate wrestler at Duke University. He was a two-time All-American and three-time Academic All-American during his time at Durham. He even won the ACC heavyweight title in 2018.

In a post on X/Twitter, Julius Creed shared his return to Duke where he worked out in his old stomping grounds. He also brought back his collegiate nickname “The Ghost.”

“The Ghost. I showed up with nothing, earned everything, had it all taken from me, rebuilt myself even better, and then came back from the dead. The best part is the man in the mirror is still a good person. They can never be me & I’d never want to be them,” Creed tweeted.

It’s unclear if Julius Creed will use it as part of his character, which seems more intense than his current one on WWE television. Creed was called “The Ghost” in college because his real name is Jacob Kasper, a play on the popular cartoon character “Casper the Friendly Ghost.”

Grayson Waller thinks Julius Creed can make the transition from WWE to UFC

In an interview on UFC Unfiltered back in August, Grayson Waller spoke highly of Julius Creed’s credentials as a collegiate wrestler. Waller even believes that Creed could make the transition to mixed martial arts if he wanted to.

“We have some killers in WWE right now, there’s a guy called Julius Creed. Super high-level amateur wrestler. If he goes over to the UFC at some stage, he’s going to do really good. He’s a former training partner of Daniel Cormier. When you’re in the ring with this kid Julius like if he wants to hurt you, he can and having a bit of that fear a bit of that like. Oh. I think that helps what we do when you think the guy across from me is actually gona hurt you. I think that brings out the best. I always like that feeling,” Waller said. (H/T Fightful)

With WWE and UFC under the same ownership, it will be interesting to see if there will be a crossover in terms of wrestling storylines and a possible transition from either side in terms of performers and athletes.

Former WWE manager Jim Cornette recently spoke about Roman Reigns and The Usos taking on The Bloodline at Crown Jewel. The match kicked off the premium live event this past weekend in Saudi Arabia.

Roman teamed up with his cousins to take on the might of The Bloodline at Crown Jewel. The six-man tag team match had its ups and downs, but finally, The Bloodline emerged victorious as Solo Sikoa hit the Samoan Spike on Reigns for the win. Later, Sami Zayn came out to help Roman and The Usos from a beatdown. However, he ended up hitting a Helluva Kick on the Original Tribal Chief.

This week on the Jim Cornette Experience, the veteran manager felt the whole match was created to build the storyline further. He felt WWE was trying to tell the story of how the old Bloodline members were still not on the same page. Cornette detailed the storyline would continue with more twists and turns in the coming weeks.

“Again, a bump in the road to true domestic bliss here. The match, it was the finish and a reason to do the angle. They’ll have a package of the angle on RAW and move from there.” [8:50 – 9:08]

Sami Zayn will face-to-face with Roman Reigns on SmackDown

This week on RAW, Sami Zayn walked out in front of an electric crowd to explain his actions. He spoke with the Usos and made it clear that he did not want to go through with being a team again.

During the emotional exchange, Jey Uso declared “Sami Uso” as his family member and urged him to show up on SmackDown this Friday to resolve things with Roman Reigns.

It will be interesting to see what Sami has to say to Roman Reigns when the two stars meet this week on SmackDown.

  • Rhea Ripley not coming back “for a very, very, very, very, very long time,” claims top WWE name

A top WWE name had a lot to say about Rhea Ripley in a new interview. The Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan got candid about hurting The Nightmare.

Ripley vs. Morgan is a strong contender for feud of the year. The two female stars aren’t fond of each other in the least. Liv snatched Dominik away from Rhea and took her Women’s World Title as well. While The Eradicator is currently out of action, Morgan is ruling the Women’s division on the red brand.

In a new interview on TMZ, Liv Morgan spoke about Rhea Ripley and made it clear that she won’t be returning for a long time. Check out her comments below:

“I’ve beaten Rhea Ripley already. She has no claim to my championship. So me taking her out, that was me fixing the problem. That was me solving the problem. That was me shutting up Rhea Ripley. That was me stopping her. I broke her orbital bone. I broke this woman’s orbital bone with Raquel Rodriguez. She’s out. She’s done. She’s not going to come back for a very, very, very, very, very long time. ‘The Liv Morgan Revenge Tour’ is over because I decimated, I ended her. She’s a loser, she’s pathetic. And I’m so much better than her in every single way.” [From 05:50 to 06:20]

  • Austin Theory reveals personal feelings on controversial John Cena promo

WWE Superstar Austin Theory recently opened up about how he felt after doing a promo battle with John Cena. The 16-time World Champion had completely destroyed Theory on the microphone heading into WrestleMania 39.

Cena is one of the greatest names to ever step inside the squared circle. He has been the face of World Wrestling Entertainment for over two decades. The Cenation Leader now focuses more on his Hollywood career but shows up on WWE television from time to time. In recent years, The Franchise Player has been booked to put over young stars like Austin Theory and Solo Sikoa.

However, ahead of his loss to Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39, John Cena made his electrifying return to RAW and cut a promo against the former United States Champion. That segment is considered one of the most brutal promos ever by The Cenation Leader, in which he roasted Theory with some scathing references that shocked the fans as well.

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, Austin Theory talked about the controversial promo, saying that he had watched it back and believed it was just John Cena playing his on-screen character.

“I think for me, because I’ve watched it back, and I’ve seen it in some of the things he said and stuff. And I just think it’s the character. I think he just wants to see me and it’s hard for me to just say exactly what he means. I kind of see where it is and if people can, kind of pick up on what I’m trying to say, but I think he just sees more of who I really am being displayed in a different way,” he said. [H/T INSIGHT]

John Cena explained why he destroyed Austin Theory ahead of WWE WrestleMania 39

In May 2024, John Cena did an interview with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT. During the conversation, The Cenation Leader said he saw a lot of potential in Austin Theory and explained that he wanted the former WWE United States Champion to learn the things he would eventually get the hang of in the future.

“I was really close to the chest with Austin Theory when we were able to go back and forth verbally. I see so much potential in him, and I wanna shake him and be like, ‘You’re gonna learn all this stuff. I just wish you would learn it today,’” Cena said.

After defeating John Cena at WWE WrestleMania 39, many fans believe Austin Theory has not been booked properly as a singles star. It will be interesting to see what the Triple H-led creative team has planned for Theory’s future.
