  • Nick Aldis to give 20-time champion a title match vs. Cody Rhodes? Exploring massive swerve

Nick Aldis has faced several challenges managing the recent turmoil on SmackDown. Amid the ongoing mayhem, Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship has taken a backseat, as it has not been defended lately. However, the upcoming edition of the blue brand could see a huge development, as the SmackDown GM could give a 20-time champion a title match against Rhodes.

The star in question is Randy Orton. The veteran is a 14-time World Champion, a one-time US Champion, a one-time Intercontinental Champion, and a four-time tag team champion. The Viper delivered a wicked RKO to RAW General Manager Adam Pearce at Crown Jewel. Considering the beef between Pearce and Aldis, the latter can reward Orton this week instead of punishing him for attacking an authority figure.

In a stunning twist, he could give The Apex Predator a guaranteed world title shot to rub salt in Pearce’s wounds. There is a high chance that Nick Aldis could appreciate Randy Orton for his actions. Recently, WWE’s X account posted the clip of that RKO, asking the SmackDown GM whether he planned to take any disciplinary action against The Viper.

Aldis swiftly avoided a direct response, as if he had no problem with it. It seems to indicate that he has no intentions of reprimanding The Legend Killer. Moreover, Aldis’ recent social media activity hints at his satisfaction with Pearce being assaulted at Crown Jewel. It further fuels speculation about the authority figure rewarding Orton rather than punishing him.

Given the recent rugged interactions between both the general managers, this decision could drastically escalate the tensions between them, adding a new layer to their rivalry.

This could also sow the seeds of a future showdown between Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce, something WWE has been teasing for quite some time. Meanwhile, Randy Orton could have an opportunity to add another title to his resume. However, this is just speculation at this point, and it remains to be seen whether it actually happens or not.

Nick Aldis to face Adam Pearce at Survivor Series: WarGames?

WWE appears to have planted seeds of a potential match between Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis, as the two have often been seen at loggerheads. Despite various opportunities, the company has yet to pit them against each other in the squared circle. However, the recent interactions between the two stars have reignited the possibility of an imminent clash.

Survivor Series is the perfect place for the two general managers to collide, given the history of the PLE. They could battle each other in a WarGames Match for brand supremacy. However, the chance of it happening is relatively low. The biggest highlight of the upcoming spectacle is set to be the WarGames Match, which is rumored to take place between the OG Bloodline and Solo Sikoa’s faction.

Additionally, WWE also plans to feature two world title matches at the event, and this would also take up a considerable amount of time. Considering that Triple H might be going with the five-match PLE format, it leaves insufficient space for the creative team to feature a clash between Nick Aldis and Adam Peace.

Although this match might not take place at this year’s Survivor Series, WWE could build it for an upcoming event like Saturday Night’s Main Event or even Royal Rumble next year. It will be interesting to see how things develop between the two general managers.

  • 39-year-old star to officially replace Tiffany Stratton on WWE SmackDown? Exploring the possibility

SmackDown promises a lively episode this Friday. There is a lot to look forward to, including perhaps Tiffany Stratton’s replacement. The Buff Barbie has put herself in a tough spot, especially after WWE Crown Jewel. With that in mind, she could find her spot on the roster as Nia Jax’s “Princess” in jeopardy, leading to her potentially being replaced by a 39-year-old star.

In case you missed it, Tiffany Stratton cost Nia Jax big time at WWE Crown Jewel. Her decision to run into the ring and try to cash in her MITB contract distracted The Irresistible Force, costing the latter the WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship. To no one’s surprise, Jax was livid and was on the hunt for Tiffy. But now, considering a week has passed and she has had time to think, Nia might just go the diplomatic route and replace Stratton with 39-year-old Candice LeRae.

The reigning Women’s Speed Champion has been hinted at as a potential ally for Jax for quite a while now. Nia even relied on her back for a tag team match when Tiffany Stratton was ill. It’s safe to say that The Poison Pixie has been more valuable to Nia over the last few weeks than Ms. Money in the Bank. So, on SmackDown this week, Jax could promote LeRae from being The Poison Pixie to The Poison Princess and oust Stratton from her inner circle.

Of course, all this will inevitably lead to Stratton cashing in on Jax. But, as of now, we will take things one step at a time. After all, this is nothing more than mere speculation.

Tiffany Stratton is open to working with a former two-time tag team champion

Once the inevitable comes to pass and Tiffany Stratton is ostracized by Nia Jax, she will be in desperate need of allies. Unfortunately, The Buff Barbie’s reputation will do her no favors, as barely any star will be willing to team up with her. That being said, the 25-year-old herself has shown interest in working with a former two-time tag team champion who likely won’t be averse to the idea.

The two-time NXT Tag Team Champion in question happens to be Stratton’s real-life partner, Ludwig Kaiser. In a recent interview with The Daily Mail, Tiffany opened up about the possibility of working with the Imperium star and gave a thumbs up. She stated that if the timing and storyline were right, it could certainly be a possibility.

You can never say never when it comes to WWE, as it would undoubtedly be interesting to see the real-life couple working together. But at the end of the day, only time will tell if anything of the sort comes to pass.

  • Top Judgment Day member to announce his exit; Steal Dominik Mysterio’s girlfriend? – 5 Bold predictions for Finn Balor in WWE for the rest of 2024

Finn Balor is one of the top WWE stars on Monday Night RAW. He is a member of The Judgment Day alongside Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Carlito, and Raquel Rodriguez. Collectively, they want to run the company.

Finn is so much more than just a member of The Judgment Day, however. He is a two-time NXT Champion, a former United States Champion, a former Intercontinental Champion, and even a former Universal Champion. He has had a lot of success as a singles star.

Currently, The Prince is one-half of the World Tag Team Champions. He holds the gold alongside his long-time mentee and friend JD McDonagh. Despite that, he also has his sights on the World Heavyweight Championship.

2024 is rapidly coming to an end, but there is a lot of good that can still go down in Finn’s career. This article will take a look at a handful of things that could happen with and to The Prince in the final months of the year.

Below are five bold predictions for Finn Balor for the rest of 2024.

#5. He will lose the World Tag Team Championship

As noted, Finn Balor is one-half of the World Tag Team Champions. The belts are exclusively on WWE Monday Night RAW and he holds the prized titles alongside The Irish Ace himself, JD McDonagh.

The Judgment Day duo actually won the prized set of WWE titles by defeating The Awesome Truth’s R-Truth and The Miz earlier this year. Despite being champions for many months, Finn and JD haven’t defended their gold very often. That will soon change, however.

The Prince and The Irish Ace are set to defend their titles against The War Raiders. Due to The Judgment Day not defending their titles often, they will likely lose the titles to Ivar and Erik when their upcoming tag team match officially takes place.

#4. Finn Balor will steal Liv Morgan from Dominik Mysterio

The Judgment Day has featured two public couples. One was Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio. Nowadays, however, WWE fans can see Dominik Mysterio dating Liv Morgan and their relationship is showcased on television each week.

In fact, Dirty Dom was stolen away from Mami by The Miracle Kid. The betrayal was in the works for months, but WWE fans and Rhea Ripley herself became officially aware of the shocking turn of events at SummerSlam 2024.

In what could be a fun swerve, another swap could take place soon. Finn Balor may end up stealing Liv Morgan from Dirty Dom. The two were seen talking in private before Dominik and Liv’s relationship even started, plus Morgan might see Finn as a better and more worthwhile partner than the slimy Mysterio.

#3. He might leave The Judgment Day

The Judgment Day has been a faction in WWE for over two and a half years now. Edge first started the stable in early 2022, quickly recruiting Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley to the faction. Over time, other stars joined.

Today, the faction is made up of the Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, Carlito, Raquel Rodriguez, Dominik Mysterio, and the World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor & JD McDonagh. A six-person group should seem dominant, but it might not be a six-person stable for much longer.

Finn Balor could very well leave the faction before 2024 comes to an end. He has expressed anger over not being a world champion and disdain towards Dominik Mysterio for wanting the belt. This could lead to him snapping and going out on his own path.

#2. Finn could bring The Demon back to WWE

The Demon is a gimmick Finn Balor has portrayed in the past. It was initially just face paint, but at various points in WWE lore, it saw The Prince develop supernatural powers of sorts.

It wasn’t the best under Vince McMahon, but the gimmick was fun at times. The face paint, in particular, looked extremely cool and it helped Balor stand out. It also made for cool merchandise opportunities.

While the supernatural aspect is unlikely to return, the concept of The Demon could be back soon. If Finn wants to become a top guy again, he may need the motivation of channeling that darker side of himself to focus on winning a singles title. Could The Demon fight Gunther before 2024 ends?

#1. He will reform The Bullet Club with AJ Styles and Luke Gallows

Finn Balor’s success prior to joining WWE was primarily in Japan. More specifically, he found a lot of success as the leader of The Bullet Club. Over the next decade-plus, the stable has featured numerous other members and leaders.

Perhaps the other most famous leader besides Finn was AJ Styles. Now, both men are in WWE. It seems like they should unite and bring back The Bullet Club, this time to World Wrestling Entertainment.

Beyond those two, Luke Gallows might also become part of the new stable. The Big L.G. can’t currently team up with Karl Anderson due to an injury Machine Gun suffered, so Gallows could instead focus on a new version of The Bullet Club alongside Styles, if he’s healthy, and Finn Balor.

  • 3 WWE stars who could be a part of the Bloodline WarGames Match if it is 5-on-5

Since 2022, WWE’s historic Survivor Series Premium Live Event has included a unique match that rarely featured on the company’s programming prior to NXT rebooting it in 2017. That match is the WarGames match.

Featuring four or five superstars on two separate teams, the match sees two rings combined together with the squared circles being surrounded by a steel cage. A member of each team starts in the ring before one member from each appears every two minutes. WarGames officially starts when all members of both teams are in the ring.

This year it seems all but a certainty that the new look Bloodline consisting of Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Loa will take on the reformed original lineup of the stable, Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso, with the latter still looking for a 4th member.

Survivor Series is mostly known for having a traditional 5 on 5 tag team match therefore it is not out of the question that a few more superstars could be added to the contest in the weeks to come.

#3. Another member of the Anoa’i family bulldozes his way into WWE

This year, it seems that the legendary Anoa’i family has an endless supply of talented performers who are ready to join the company. One star who many feel is destined to join the fray in WWE is the son of the late great Umaga, Zilla Fatu.

The 25-year-old is currently training at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion, a company that has a lot of ties with WWE. Having honed his craft for the past couple of years, and with Roman’s team currently needing at least one more member, the young star could shock the fanbase by joining forces with Reigns and The Usos instead of Sikoa and his faction.

During a recent interview on the Wrestle Era Podcast, Zilla Fatu stated that whether he works with his family or not, he feels that his future certainly lies within World Wrestling Entertainment:

“I would love to be there with my family, but Triple H, the creative team, the whole WWE organization, they have a way to incorporate me. So whatever they want to incorporate me into the storyline or me doing my own thing or me and R-Truth [laughs], you just never know. So right now, I just can’t call it, but I know that I’m destined to be there.”

#2. The American Nightmare teams with the OTC once again

One person who has certainly been a thorn in the side of whatever iteration of the Bloodline is seen on screen is Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare was key in bringing down the original version of the group with him putting a nail in Roman Reigns’ time on top when he beat him at WrestleMania 40 earlier this year to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.

Since then, things have taken a very surprising turn as Rhodes and Reigns recently put their differences aside and teamed up to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood last month.

Speaking with The Flagrant Rhodes heaped plenty of praise on the original Tribal Chief as well as addressing those who criticize Roman’s lighter WWE schedule:

“He’s incredibly special and done so much for WWE. When people get onto him about the limited dates and stuff, he was the thing. He did all this and earned everything he’s got right now.”

Whilst Roman will still want to get his championship back from Cody Rhodes, the pair have shown in recent months that they can co-exist in order to take on a foe that threatens both of their goals.

Therefore do not be surprised if Rhodes enters the fray on November 30th at Survivor Series by teaming up Roman and The Usos.

#1. The Honorary Uce chooses a side

At Crown Jewel last week, fans got a taste of the original version of The Bloodline lineup as Sami Zayn helped Roman and The Usos in their match against Solo Sikoa and his group.

Despite some friction between Zayn and Jimmy Uso currently taking place on RAW and SmackDown, it seems like almost a guarantee that the former Honorary Uce will once again join forces with Roman, Jimmy and Jey inside WarGames, just like he triumphantly did in 2022.

One person who thinks Sami would be perfect to rejoin the group is The Usos and Solo Sikoa’s father, the WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, who recently gave his thoughts on the matter whilst speaking on the Off The Top podcast:

“I think Sami Zayn fits exactly into The Bloodline. You can never replace the originals — we go back a few years or so. We talk about the original Bloodline so there’s that one piece that’s missing now.”

Sami’s involvement with The Bloodline in the latter stages of 2022 and the early parts of 2023 is arguably the best storyline that WWE has ever produced, and therefore fans are determined to see Zayn back with his ‘adopted’ family once again.

  • Huge update on Shinsuke Nakamura’s WWE return – Reports

Shinsuke Nakamura has been largely absent from WWE television in recent months, though he has competed in house shows. However, recent reports indicate that The Artist’s return to the Stamford-based promotion is imminent.

The King of Strong Style faced Sheamus on the April 22, 2024 installment of Monday Night RAW. Since then, Nakamura has competed in live events against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship, LA Knight for the United States Championship, and a few other superstars.

A new report from Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Dr. Chris Featherstone has revealed that Shinsuke Nakamura is set to return to Friday Night SmackDown within the next few weeks as a heel. The 44-year-old star’s return was initially planned for the November 8th episode of the blue brand but has been delayed due to storyline reasons.

“Shinsuke Nakamura will be making his imminent television return to SmackDown within the next few weeks. He was originally scheduled to return at the upcoming episode on November 8, but plans changed due to storyline reasons. He was last seen on television on the April 22 episode of Raw, losing to Sheamus, and his last televised match on SmackDown was a win against Karrion Kross on May 5, 2023. Current plans are for him to return as a heel,” Featherstone wrote this on X.

Wrestling veteran criticizes WWE for Shinsuke Nakamura’s booking

WCW veteran Konnan discussed the decline of the former Intercontinental Champion within the company. This revelation follows the intense feud between Shinsuke Nakamura and Cody Rhodes that dominated the late 2023 and early 2024 WWE landscape.

On his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan said he was disappointed by the company’s handling of Shinsuke Nakamura, despite initially being excited about his signing and the potential it held.

“Nakamura was very disappointing for me personally, because he was one of my favorite wrestlers,” Konnan revealed. “When I last saw New Japan, after like, Nakamura, I tuned out. I liked him a lot. I think [the WWE] did a great job at resuscitating him. And then they did nothing with him.”

    Watch the video below:

Only time will tell whether The King of Strong Styles will make his potential return as a heel on SmackDown TV ahead of Survivor Series.

  • Beloved WWE star to make in-ring return after 972 days & retire Goldberg at WrestleMania 41? Potential comeback explored

It was recently announced that WWE Hall of Famer and former Universal Champion Goldberg with have his final match in 2025. The Atlanta native is looking to end his career on his terms.

Over the years, the WCW and WWE icon has faced some top names from Hulk Hogan, The Rock, The Undertaker, Roman Reigns, and Brock Lesnar. While there is not a date set in stone for his final match, many fans would like to see him compete at WrestleMania 41 next April in Las Vegas. With that in mind, one star who would very much be keen to wrestle Goldberg in his last match would be his idol and former WWE Champion Big E.

The New Day powerhouse has been out of action since March 2022 after he suffered an unfortunate neck injury on SmackDown. Now reportedly on the mend, many fans are hoping he can be back in time for Mania in 6 months.

Speaking to Complex in 2017 Big E spoke about why he gravitated towards Goldberg in the late 90s when he was watching as a fan:

“Goldberg was my guy. I was a WCW guy growing up and Goldberg was the one who really captured my imagination. Nobody could touch him. And when you’re a kid, that’s what you want. You want someone who is unbeatable, someone who can’t be stopped. That’s what Goldberg was to me.”

With both stars possessing a huge amount of respect for each other as well as having similar movesets, a showdown between Big E and Goldbergwould be a great welcome back for the former and a perfect goodbye for the latter.

When can Big E make his in-ring WWE return?

In 2021, Big E reached the mountaintop as he finally became WWE Champion after he cashed in the Money In The Bank contract. Fast forward only a few months later, his world came crashing down after he sustained a neck injury in March 2022.

Having not wrestled for over 2 years many fans of his are fearful that they may never see Big E physically perform in the ring again. During a recent interview with SportsTalk Philly, the New Day member gave an insight into how his recovery is going:

“I get scans again in another three-to-six months, and if they look great and the doctors say it’s healthy for me to go back, then that’s something where we’ll sit down and talk about it. I try not to spend too much time worrying about things I can’t control. It’s nice to know that if I get the opportunity to get back in the ring, and I can do it healthily, then let’s do that. Let’s attack it fully. But if not, I know exactly what I want to do, and I’m excited about that path, too.”

With this interview taking place in September 2024, and with his scan taking place in 3 to 6 months; time there is certainly a chance that WWE fans may see Big E back performing in the ring sooner rather than later.

  • 41-year-old WWE official breaks silence after Rhyno’s attack

Legendary wrestler Rhyno made a surprising return to WWE after a hiatus of over five years. Upon his comeback to the Stamford-based promotion, the former Hardcore Champion delivered a powerful Gore to Robert Stone. NXT’s Assistant General Manager has since taken to social media to express his thoughts on the unexpected encounter.

This week’s Tuesday Night Show, held at the 2300 ECW Arena in Philadelphia, saw NXT General Manager Ava announce the next Premium Live Event, Deadline, scheduled for December 7th in Minnesota. However, Robert Stone stirred up the Philadelphia crowd by claiming that New York fans are more hardcore.

It wasn’t long before the lights went out, and The Man Beast suddenly appeared to deliver a devastating Gore to The Platinum Poppa. On X/Twitter, Stone broke his silence on the matter.

The 41-year-old WWE official shared his unfortunate experience of being gored by Rhyno twice in the ECW arena, once in 2010 and again in 2024. Robert Stone jokingly commented on the worsening nature of the goring incidents, questioning the trajectory of his career statistics:

“2010 Rhino gored me in the ECW arena. 2024 Rhino gored me harder (how am I in the air) in the ECW arena. Not the best statistics.”

Check out NXT’s Assistant General Manager’s tweet below:

Rhyno was inducted into a Hall of Fame outside of WWE

The former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion was recently recognized for his significant contributions to professional wrestling. He took his place among the legends at TNA Hall of Fame.

On October 27, Tommy Dreamer inducted Rhyno into the 2024 TNA Hall of Fame. The 49-year-old veteran expressed his gratitude to his fellow wrestlers, particularly Heath Slater, in an emotional speech.

Check out The Man Beast’s Hall of Fame speech below:

Rhyno’s last in-ring match took place at PPW King of the Castle on November 2. It remains to be seen whether the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion and Hardcore Champion will compete on NXT in the coming weeks.

  • Triple H to steal Tony Khan’s idea; the Wyatt Sicks to expand? 4 Ways Malakai Black can return to WWE after rumored AEW exit

Malakai Black (FKA Aleister Black) was one of WWE’s most exciting superstars. While on the developmental brand, he managed to capture the prized NXT Championship and was positioned as one of the top stars of the brand. It was clear Triple H was a big fan of the talented performer.

When Black was called up to the main roster, he seemed all but guaranteed to become a world champion. Instead, Vince McMahon fumbled the spooky star time and time again before releasing him. He has since been reborn as Malakai Black in AEW.

While his run in AEW has been solid, it may be coming to an end soon. Reports indicate that the House of Black leader’s contract with the Jacksonville-based company could expire in the coming weeks and months. Hence, there is a chance that the 39-year-old might return to the Sports Entertainment juggernaut.

This article will take a look at a handful of ways that Malakai Black could return to his home promotion. This includes challenging for a top title, Triple H stealing a Tony Khan concept, and Black joining a scary faction.

Below are four ways Malakai Black could return to WWE after his rumored AEW exit:

#4. He could be selected as Bron Breakker’s challenger

Bron Breakker is one of the most talented stars in WWE. He is the current and a two-time Intercontinental Champion. Beyond that, the 27-year-old is a two-time NXT Champion. He has even held the NXT Tag Team Title.

During the most recent episode of RAW Talk, The Dog of WWE confronted RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. He wanted to know about his next challenger for the WWE Intercontinental Title, but no proper answer was given.

In what could be an exciting twist, Malakai Black could return to World Wrestling Entertainment as Breakker’s challenger. The Antihero winning the belt immediately after his potential return would make his run an instant success. Alternatively, a loss could set the Dutch wrestler up for a new storyline, perhaps a long-term one with The Big Bad Booty Nephew.

#3. Malakai Black could bring the House of Black stable to WWE

The House of Black is a stable that Malakai Black currently leads in All Elite Wrestling. The likes of Brody King, Buddy Matthews, and Julia Hart have joined the creepy and intimidating star during his journey in the company, but does it have to remain in AEW?

There is a chance that Triple H could take Tony Khan and All Elite Wrestling’s concept and bring it to WWE if Malakai does return. It isn’t clear who owns the name “House of Black,” but if it is free, The Game could use it. If not, the same concept could still be used, just with a different name.

As for who could join his stable, there are several intriguing options. For the women’s end of things, Tatum Paxley or Wendy Choo would fit. As for men, Black could take some bruisers from NXT or even bring in the likes of Braun Strowman and Omos to watch his back.

#2. He could target The New Day

The New Day is one of the greatest factions in WWE history. The group was initially a combination of Big E, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston. However, due to a serious injury suffered by Big E in March 2022, it is currently a tag team comprised of Kingston and Woods.

Interestingly, prior to the former Aleister Black being released by WWE during the Vince McMahon-led administration, the dark and moody performer started a feud with Big E. Unfortunately, it was immediately cut short due to Vince’s shortsightedness.

Black could return to the company and feud with The New Day properly this time. While Big E is hurt and may never return to the ring, the former AEW World Trios Champion could instead target Kofi and Xavier, continuing the past story that never had a chance to take off.

#1. Malakai Black could join the Wyatt Sicks

The Wyatt Sicks is one of the most interesting factions in pro wrestling and WWE. The group currently consists of Bo Dallas (Uncle Howdy) as the leader. He is joined by Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, Erick Rowan, and Dexter Lumis.

Currently, the spooky faction is targeting The Miz, and due to The A-Lister’s association with them, The Final Testament. This comes after the group successfully defeated American Made in its first WWE feud.

Malakai Black’s aura in AEW is very similar to that of the Wyatt Sicks. While they could be foes, it would be exciting if Black were to return to the company and join Uncle Howdy and Co. This would officially make the group a six-person stable, and this would mean that Black would have a major role moving forward.

  • 4 worst WWE matches of 2024 in the Triple H regime

Triple H has led WWE into a new era centered on long-term storytelling and great in-ring action. His approach, combined with the freedom and opportunities given to the locker room, has led to some great wrestling matches.

The ideal wrestling match has back-and-forth action with a balanced dose of big moves, good chemistry between the wrestlers, some drama, and fine storytelling. For example, Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes II in the main event of WrestleMania XL: Night Two was universally hailed on all parameters.

However, sometimes, the match doesn’t click, and the reaction is pretty underwhelming, as was the case with these WWE four matches in the Triple H regime.

Disclaimer: This list is restricted to the main roster; NXT has intentionally been excluded.

#4. Triple H booked an underwhelming Men’s Royal Rumble match

The 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match featured the pre-advertised in-ring return of CM Punk, a decade after he had walked out on the company. However, some glaring issues killed the excitement.

First, many of the top competitors entered late in the match. The winner, Cody Rhodes, entered at 15, while other favorites like Gunther, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre, joined the fray at 18, 27, and 29.

Therefore, Tag Team Specialists and lower mid-card talent, with no real chance of winning, filled the ring for the most. This also leads to another notable issue with The Rumble as there was limited star power. Aside from the four big guns mentioned above, there weren’t many credible stars.

Jey Uso, Bobby Lashley, and Sami Zayn were also participants, but they were far from favorites. Major players like Randy Orton, AJ Styles, LA Knight, Logan Paul, and Kevin Owens had wrestled in the under-card. Perhaps, Triple H should have considered using some of them again.

Furthermore, following botched attempts in previous years, Kofi Kingston seemingly dropped his Royal Rumble highlight reel spot this year, making his appearance meaningless and ruining what many deem a mandatory highlight.

Lastly, there were few legitimate surprises. Andrade came in early, but the pop wasn’t as memorable because he was less known to casual fans. Bron Breakker also entered the fray, delivering a shot of adrenaline and quickly racking up several eliminations before Dominik Mysterio’s unceremonious elimination.

No recognized legends entered for a loud pop, a long-standing tradition of the Rumble. The drama started in the last fifteen minutes of the match. The rest was pretty much skippable.

#3. Liv Morgan vs. Nia Jax for the inaugural WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship

At Bad Blood, Triple H introduced the Crown Jewel championships in honor of Saudi Arabia. Two champion vs. champion matches were scheduled between the World Champions from both brands for both the male and female divisions.

Liv Morgan and Nia Jax battled for the inaugural Women’s Crown Jewel Championships last week, but there was nothing memorable about the battle. It felt like a random throwaway match on RAW.

Tiffany Stratton teased a cash-in heading into the match, but that didn’t happen. Furthermore, both women were heels, so there was confusion, and WWE hadn’t given fans much reason to cheer one over the other. Stratton was the X-factor, and Triple H fumbled the opportunity to add drama with the cash-in.

The ending was predictable as Morgan won via outside interference. It fell flat and uninspiring. Compared to the Men’s Crown Jewel Title, this will easily fade out of memory soon.

#2. The Pride vs. The Final Testament in a Philadelphia Street Fight

The Pride vs. The Final Testament was just an excuse to get credible names like Bobby Lashley, Karrion Kross, and The Street Profits on the card for WrestleMania XL. Judging by the build and booking of the match, Triple H didn’t keep this entire program on his priority list.

For starters, The Pride- The Final Testament saga had gone on for too long beyond its expiration date. Thus, there was little fanfare heading into their Philadelphia Street Fight at Mania.

The lack of interest from the crowd impacted the quality of the match, severely diminishing the energy and excitement. Montez Ford dove over the turnbuckle and Kross hit a chair-assisted Neckbreaker, but most of the action felt sloppy and flat.

The inclusion of Bubba Ray Dudley as a Special Guest Referee and Snoop Dogg as a commentator added some thrill. However, overall, it was one of the least inspiring matches of WrestleMania XL.

#1. Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso was extremely underwhelming

The Bloodline saga had multiple spin-offs and daughter storylines branching off the main narrative. The Usos imploded in the summer of 2023 as Jimmy betrayed Jey to prevent his brother from becoming like Roman Reigns.

For the next several months, both men were on separate brands, but Jimmy frequently stuck his nose in Jey’s business. Despite resentment, Jey eventually agreed to a match with his twin brother at Mania.

Triple H had delivered an amazing background story, fans were interested, and The Usos were great in-ring workers. However, seven months later, the WWE Universe seems to have forgotten that this ever happened, and for good reason.

This was more of a Superkick fiesta as both men repeatedly used the same redundant maneuver to gain an advantage. For two stars immensely gifted between the ropes, they could have done better.

Jey finished the match with a Spear followed by The Uso Splash, but it was far from his best effort. Triple H booked the prelude brilliantly, but the lack of innovation and drama in the actual match took away from the entire angle.

  • Triple H to be forced to push disgruntled WWE RAW Superstar after getting called out? Potential booking step explored

The regime of Triple H has already delivered numerous unforgettable moments. This includes surprise returns, unexpected victories, and historic outcomes that will be remembered in the Stamford-based promotion for years to come. However, several superstars whom fans hope to see pushed remain underutilized. One such name is Finn Balor.

Currently, Balor is a member of The Judgment Day faction. However, he has yet to reach his full potential as a singles star. This has led fans to call for either his separation from the villainous group or a significant push within it. Recently, Balor celebrated the 10th anniversary of his tenure with WWE by sharing the accolades he’s accumulated over the past decade on his X account.

However, former WWE star Jinder Mahal seemingly mocked Balor, suggesting The Prince should have ”padded that résumé with a few 24/7 Championship reigns!” This jab has sparked controversy, and it could prompt Triple H to reconsider Balor’s position.

In his initial days on the main roster, Finn made a strong impression, even pinning Roman Reigns to qualify for the inaugural Universal Championship match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam 2016. He defeated The Visionary at the PLE to become the inaugural champion.

The Game is also known for closely monitoring internet activity and fan sentiment and may feel compelled to push Balor in response to the recent discourse. WWE has previously been reported to adjust storylines based on online reactions to high-profile feuds.

Given the current buzz, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Chief Content Officer decides to give the 43-year-old a renewed push, especially if fan demand continues to grow.

How can Triple H book Finn Balor for a significant push?

If The King of Kings decides to give a significant push to Finn Balor, the CCO could either distance the latter from The Judgment Day or officially position The Demon as the faction’s leader. Removing Balor from the group could pave the way for a babyface turn, allowing WWE to revive his iconic Demon King persona from his early main roster days.

After building momentum over a few weeks, The Cerebral Assassin could then book Balor in a World Heavyweight Championship match in which the RAW Superstar could ultimately capture the title. On the other hand, if WWE keeps Balor as a member of The Judgment Day, he could still secure a world title reign.

In this scenario, the villainous faction could assist the former Universal Champion in clinching the victory. This approach would make it easier for Triple H to have Balor dethrone the current World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther.

It remains to see whether Triple H will bring any change in Finn Balor’s booking on the red brand following the recent development.
