Malakai Black addresses speculation about joining WWE

After his loss to Adam Cole during the AEW Dynamite on November 6, 2024, Malakai Black addressed speculation about his future.

“Here we are again, after a loss. And once again, everyone’s saying, ‘He’s retiring. He’s retiring because of his injuries and this and that.’ Well, none of that is true. I’m not injured, I’m not retiring, and I’m not going anywhere. I feel like this happens with every match I have. And I don’t understand how many times you all are going to say this stuff; it hasn’t happened, yet people still keep believing it.

I haven’t been injured for over three years, and I’m talking about the back injury, of course, and I only posted about it after it was already resolved. If you had read the post, you would have seen that instead of going by what others have said about it. I’m fine. I’ve been fine for a long time. I would really appreciate it if this would stop. If I’m going to retire, you’ll hear it from me and not just after Adam cuts a promo thanking me for the match, because that was all it was. So, thank you.”

As we previously reported, Black’s contract with AEW will expire at the end of this year.
