Paul Heyman returns on WWE SmackDown and announces fifth member of OG Bloodline for Survivor Series

The highly anticipated return of Paul Heyman to WWE programming finally happened during last Friday Night SmackDown in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Wiseman appeared during the show’s final segment, when Roman Reigns’ OG Bloodline was still being threatened by Solo Sikoa’s new Bloodline, still without a fifth member for the men’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series. Heyman surprisingly announced that CM Punk would be the OG Bloodline’s fifth member at the premium live event, shocking everyone.

Immediately after the announcement, Punk, Reigns, and the rest of the OG Bloodline charged at Solo Sikoa and his associates, driving them from the ring, ending this week’s show.

Previously, there had been rumors about the possibility of Punk being announced as the fifth member of Reigns’ team, with this being orchestrated by Heyman, considering their past history together in WWE.

Heyman was one of the great mentors during Punk’s historic WWE Championship reign of more than 400 days between 2011 and 2013.
