Carmelo Hayes revealed advice he received from CM Punk following SmackDown, where the Second City Saint joined the OG Bloodline. Hayes took to Twitter/X to share Punk’s guidance about avoiding backstage confrontations.
“Ran into Cm Punk. Just gave me the best advice to never lose a backstage fight again #SmackDown,” Hayes wrote. The comment appears to reference Hayes’ recent backstage altercation with Cody Rhodes, whom he’s scheduled to face next Friday, while also alluding to Punk’s past AEW Brawl Out incident.
Punk returned to WWE programming after defeating Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood in a Hell in a Cell match, which concluded their rivalry with Punk winning two out of three encounters.

Seth Rollins could interfere in WarGames match
The storyline stems from Rollins declining to join Roman Reigns’ team, with Punk expected to emphasize how he “stepped up when Rollins didn’t.”
The development marks Punk’s first match since his victory over McIntyre at Bad Blood 2024. Paul Heyman orchestrated his return, placing him alongside Reigns, The Usos, and Sami Zayn for the upcoming WarGames match.
